Requirements – 7th GUP
Score required – 65%
1) 20 Push-up & 20 Sit-ups
2) Basic blocks with counter attacks – facing partner
in horse-riding stance, five punches for each block
a) Lower block with solar-plexus punch
b) Minor outside block with knife-hand strike
c) Body block with elbow strike
d) Upper block with palm strike
e) Outside block with second knuckle strike to throat
f) Stepping backward into back stance with double knife-hand black and countering
with back fist to the nose
3) Kicking techniques – facing partner, five kicks
with each leg.
a) Front kick followed by double side kick (knee then stomach) with the other
leg
b) Roundhouse to the stomach followed by double roundhouse (thigh then face)
c) Inside crescent kick followed by turning back kick to the stomach
4) Self-defence

Rolls
Strangles:Grabbed from the front:
a) Push fingers into opponent's throat
b) Swing arm over wrists to break the hold, come back with elbow to
opponent's face
c) Swing arms under opponent's wrists to break the hold, then over.
Lock opponent's arms under yours and punch ribs.
Stangles:Grabbed from behind:
a) Swing arms around and over, turn 180°, lock up arms and punch
ribs
b) Stomp on foot, grab the shoulder and twist to hip throw.
5) Taeguk 1 and Taeguk 2
6) 5 step combination: Each combination consists
of 1 kick followed by any two hand techniques blocking or striking),
to be performed consecutively.
